Surely, he'd have thought of that before now? It's the usual thing to do if you're lost or stuck abroad y'know, ring home, yeah? It seemed like a somewhat lazy way of bringing the curtain down on Marie-Cruz's participation.Īnd what about Linc just happening to stumble across Sucre down some nothing street in Panama City?. All that worrying for nothing and the only thing Sucre had to do was ring home. Suddenly, she's back in the US living the grand old life without any explanation as to how she managed to get out of Panama. Yeah, the 'Marie-Cruz is fine and well back in Chicago' story-line seemed a highly unlikely scenario at the end of the last season. Having seen the first two episodes now, they are enjoyable enough but i get the feeling, like with Season 2, that the writers are making it up as they go along. PRISON BREAK SEASON 3 SYNOPSIS FREE
I would place my following comments inside spoiler tags, as they deal with some detailed specifics from within the second episode, but for the fact that My Giddy Aunt has given us free reign to talk about whatever is out there. While I liked the 2nd series, there is a definate part of me that would of preferred it if they had wrapped everything up in the first series. It's good they are returning to a prison, but without a hugely intricate escape plan to follow I think it is going to be a case of diminishing returns. I've been rewatching the first season with the missis (bought it on DVD now), and the "larger picture" stuff has always been pretty weak compared to the core, breaking out the prison stuff. Also, being the last episode the lines are probably more about ominous foreshadowing than being accurate. I don't know, I just assumed that was referring to his Dad, who the company bloke would know all about. Such a scenario would be terrible and undermine everything they've built up to this point, but where else could they go with such a line?
I had a nightmare scenario that they could claim the company had interfered with Michael's blood to try and engineer him into being a 'super escaper' or something. If they start getting all sci-fi on our asses, I'm going to have to bail. I know Michael is the master plotter but Lincoln should at least be trying to make some contingencies of his own in case things go south.Quote from: Artemis on September 06, 2007, 02:14:29 AM. Michael’s plot is mostly fine but the others don’t feel specific enough to Prison Break. That’s the problem I’m seeing creeping into this season. Give us something that’s uniquely Prison Break! These characters should be using their smarts before their fists. This kind of action is fun but it feels like it could be happening on any other action drama. Also throwing in a near rape scene didn’t do much to help. Yeah, last week there was some solid tension but here I was just kind of bored with it. I could watch that guy do… Well do pretty much anything! Even if it basically amount to “I have some vague information” Robert Knepper is so good in the part he makes it work. At least T-Bag was around to sweeten the scenes up.
Again, the government plot does nothing for me. Which by the way, can we just take a quick side note? So apparently since Michael’s death he’s been working for the government to bust CIA agents out of prison? Does that mean prison breaking is legit Michael’s profession now? If so that is amazing.īut seriously, why has he not contacted Sara before now? Yeah yeah, it’s part of the bigger mystery but he couldn’t have rung her up before now? Come on, man!
With only six episodes left in this season do we have enough time to build up to another huge escape? Prison Break was always about stretching that tension over time and I’m worried that it’s going to rush the eventual climatic prison break. Sure, in Panama he didn’t plan to be in prison but he had a few episodes to figure out a game plan. He’s really truly screwed and we’ve never seen Michael in a position like that. Seeing his reaction at the end and his tearful “final” call to Sara convincingly sold this isn’t just part of Michael’s grand plan. Michael’s old intricate plans were meant to fail so now he has to think on his feet without any backups. The show could be playing with our expectations. Now part of me thinks this was intentional.
